Javaid Mustafa Mir Joins JKAP, Altaf Bukhari Says Party Happy With New Induction

Srinagar 04 October (KNB): Javaid Mustafa Mir of J&K People’s Movement on Monday formally joined Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) in front of party chief Altaf Bukhari and other senior leaders. 

On the joining of Mir to the Apni Party, Altaf Bukhari said that they are happy with the new induction and feel honoured having a respectable colleague with them.  

Regarding the party, Bukhari said they are very satisfied with their journey so far. He said that the party from all along, with every new entrants, have been looking after how to get out of the cyclone, (which he meant the situation post August 5, 2019). 

On the protests of MBBS students lately on the All India Quota, Bukhari said that he is thankful to LG Monoj Sinha for considering the issue, which has been deferred for now. 

However, Mir, during the press conference, put forth the reason for joining the JKAP by saying that they are all colleagues in the party and said that parties are often being changed but relations should not be changed. 

“I am thankful of Altaf Bukhari, leaders of the party and even of every worker that they have welcomed me into their party fold,” said Mir.   

Being Mir as an active member of PAGD and one of the adherents to its agenda for restoration of statehood besides others, he suggested of being committed to the demand for statehood’s restoration before and after joining the JKAP (KNB)
