KNB News Desk

Srinagar 08 January (KNB): Jammu-Srinagar National Highway is going to remain closed for traffic movement on Sunday due to impassable condition of the road after heavy rains and snowfall, said the traffic department on Saturday.

As per the official update, the traffic movement is going to remain suspended on NHW-44 in wake of the slippery conditions, shooting stones and landslides along the highway. It was also said that the NH-44 is blocked at various places.

The traffic department also said that the Mughal road and Srinagar Sonamarg Gumri road have been already closed after the accumulation of snow at Peer ki Gali and ZojiLa axis respectively.

Regarding the Kishtwar-Sinthan road, the official said that no traffic movement would also be allowed on that road in view of the snow accumulation on it. (KNB)
