Srinagar 10 January (KNB): Two unidentified militants were killed in an encounter in South Kashmir Kulgam’s Hasanpora area, as per police.
The gunfight started in Kulgam yesterday between militants and security forces after a cordon and search operation was carried out in the area.
In the encounter, police said that two unidentified militants have been killed. They said that the identification and affiliation of the slain militants was being ascertained.
It was further said that the security forces had recovered incriminating materials including arms and ammunition from the encounter site.
It is pertinent to mention that there was casualty reported from the forces’ side in the gunfight. (KNB)
