9,287 Omicron cases detected so far in the country; active Covid cases stand at over 19 lakhs

Srinagar 20 January (KNB): India has reported 3,17,532 new cases of Covid19, with 491 covid19 fatalities during the last 24 hours, as per Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
As per the ministry, a total of 3,58,07,029 covid19 patients have recovered so far in the country and 2,23,990 patients have been recovered in the last 24 hours across India.
“The active caseload of the country currently stands at 19,24,051,” said the MoHFW.
It further said that the daily positivity rate at present is 16.41 percent and weekly positivity rate remains at 16.06 percent.
The ministry further said that 159.67 Cr. vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive and 70.93 Cr. total tests have been conducted so far throughout the country.
It was also said that a total of 9,287 Omicron cases have been detected so far in the country with an increase of 3.63% since yesterday. (KNB)
