Srinagar 16 December (KNB): India has reported 7,974 new cases of Covid19, with 343 covid19 fatalities during the last 24 hours, as per Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
As per the ministry, a total of 3,41,54,879 covid19 patients have recovered so far in the country and 7,948 patients have been recovered in the last 24 hours across India.
“The active caseload of the country currently stands at 87,245, which constitutes 0.25 percent of the total cases, lowest since March 2020,” said the MoHFW.
It further said that the daily positivity rate at present is 0.57 percent, a figure less than two percent for the last 73 days. “Weekly Positivity Rate remains 0.64 percent, which is less than one percent for the last 32 days,” it added.
The ministry further said that 135.25 Cr. vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive and 66.02 Cr. total tests have been conducted so far throughout the country. (KNB)
