Srinagar 16 December (KNB): Two militants of Lashkar-e-Taiba (TRF) outfit were killed by forces in an overnight encounter in South Kashmir Kulgam’s Redwani area.
As per officials, the encounter started in the Redwani Kulgam during intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday after a cordon and search operation was carried out by forces in the area.
However, in the subsequent gunfight, two militants were killed by forces. The affiliation of the two slain militants is said to be with the LeT (TRF) outfit as per reports.
The officials, however, have not yet ascertained the identity of the two slain militants killed in the Redwani encounter.
The Redwani encounter came after a one was fought in Pulwama’s Uzgampathri area during the Tuesday and Wednesday night. In the encounter, Feroz Ahmad Dar, a Hizb militant was killed, who as per officials, was active since 2017 and was an A+ category militant. (KNB)
