Srinagar 26 August (KNB): India reported 46,164 new novel coronavirus cases and 607 deaths due to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours, according to Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
As per the morning update by the Health Ministry, India’s active caseload stands at 3,33,725 and active cases account for 1.03 per cent of total cases.
The MoHFW said that there have been 34,159 recoveries in the last 24 hours, which has increased the total recoveries to 3,17,88,440 and the recovery rate currently at 97.63 per cent.
As per the Health Ministry, daily positivity rate is 2.58 per cent, which stands less than 3 per cent for the last 31 days and the weekly positivity rate is 2.02 per cent, which stands less than 3 per cent for the last 62 days.
Moreover, the Health Ministry informed that 60.38 Cr. vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive and a total of 51.31 crore tests have been conducted so far. (KNB)
