Srinagar 18 September (KNB): India administered highest ever single day vaccination doses and less than 40,000 Covid infections in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
As per the morning update, 2.5 crore vaccine doses were given across the country in the last 24 hours, marking a special day in the history of Covid vaccinations around the whole globe.
Meanwhile, during the same time, 35,662 new Covid-19 infections and 281 deaths were reported across the nation.
The MoHFW said that active cases account for 1.02 per cent of the total cases and India’s active caseload stands at 3,40,639.
The recovery rate currently stands at 97.65 per cent and 33,798 recoveries took place in the last 24 hours, which has increased total recoveries to 3,26,32,222.
As per the Health Ministry, the weekly positivity rate stands at 2.02 per cent and remains less than 3 per cent for the last 85 days. The daily positivity rate stands at 2.46 per cent and remains less than 3 per cent for the last 19 days.
The Health Ministry also informed that a total of 55.07 crore tests have been conducted so far across the country. (KNB)
