Srinagar 17 September (KNB): A cop was shot dead on Friday in South Kashmir Kulgam’s Wanpoh area after being fired upon by suspected militants.
According to an official, the deceased cop was fired upon by militants. He was identified as Bantu Sharma.
However, after receiving bullet injuries, the cop was shifted to a nearby hospital where the doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Later, the area was cordoned off to nab the assailants behind the attack. (KNB)
