In Last 24 Hours, J&K Police Realizes Over 2 Lakh Rupees Fine, Arrests 3 Persons in Kashmir For Violation of Covid19 Guidelines    

Srinagar 07 June (KNB): The Jammu and Kashmir police on Monday said that during the last 24 hours a fine tune to rupees 2,06,620 was realized from around 1912 people throughout the Valley and arrested three persons for violating Covid19 guidelines.

Police said that while continuing its efforts to curb the outbreak of the 2nd wave of Coronavirus, they have enhanced its efforts to sensitise the masses about controlling the highly contagious Coronavirus. 

“During the last 24hrs, Police have arrested 03 persons, lodged 02 FIRs and also realized fine to the tune of ₹2,06,620/- from 1912 people throughout the Kashmir valley for violating the various guidelines/rules/SOPs regarding Covid-19,” the police said.  

The official further said that the special drive against the violators of Covid-19 guidelines/rules continued throughout all the districts of Kashmir Valley to ensure that people adhere to SOPs/guidelines envisaged by the government to curb COVID-19 pandemic.

They further said that “community members are once again requested to cooperate with the Police in containing the spread of Coronavirus by following the SOPs/ guidelines/protocols for their own safety and for the safety of others. The special drive shall continue throughout the districts of Kashmir Valley to strengthen the safety measures.” (KNB)
