In Last 2 Years 5,601 Ceasefire Violations Reported Along LoC in J&K: MoS Defence Ajay Bhatt

Srinagar 20 December (KNB): A total of 5,601 instances of ceasefire violations have taken place along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir in the last two years till November 29th, said MoS Defence Ajay Bhatt in a written reply in Rajya Sabha on Monday. 

Bhatt said that under the operational control of the Indian Army in Jammu & Kashmir from 30 Nov 2019 to 29 Nov 2021, a total of 5,601 incidents of ceasefire violations have been reported. 

He further said that the troops deployed on forward posts enjoy complete freedom of action in responding to Pakistan Ceasefire Violations. 

“Substantial damage was inflicted on Pak posts and personnel during retaliation by the Indian Army,” said MoS Defence Ajay Bhatt in a written reply in Rajya Sabha. (KNB)
