Srinagar 29 July (KNB): Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday said that news regarding recovery of an IED at Saimoh area of Awantipora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district is fake and warned individuals spreading it with legal action.
Officials said that a fake news is making rounds on social media regarding recovery of an IED at Saimoh.
“The photo being shown is of same IED that was recovered last month,” officials added.
Police officials further warned that individuals spreading fake news will be dealt under law and also urged people to check the facts before putting anything on social media.
Pertinent to mention that a picture of an IED was shared on social media, claiming to have been recovered by security forces today at Saimoh area of Awantipora.(KNB)
