Budgam November 19 (KNB): Chairman JK Peoples Democratic Front (JKPDF) and former Minister Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen has said that the government has failed miserably in providing facilities to the people and solving their problems on all fronts.
In a statement issued to news agency Kashmir News Bureau-KNB, Hakeem Yaseen said that “despite increasing power tarrif manfolds and installation of smart meters, government has no excuse to deny adequate power supply to the consumers.
Speaking in the meeting of PDF workers of Sukhnag areas of Beerwa Constituency on Sunday Hakeem Yaseen while ruing government for its utter failure to provide adequate power supply to the consumers especially during the harsh months of winter ,said that not only on power supply front ,government has miserably failed to provide other basic services also to the people. said statement
Non-availabilty of ration to the common people and inability to curb skyrocketting prices of other essential comodities was the hallmark of present dispensation. Poor fruit growers, distressed due to worst ever slump in the market this year, have been left at the mercy of situation. he said
As per statement Hakeem Yaseen adding that not a single word has come from the government uptill no about any plan to come to the rescue of the affected families of fruit growers which have been left without any means of livelihood.
PDF Chairman poophood tall claims of government about making Jammu and kashmir a power supply state adding that exegerated statements and big advertisements about so called landmark achievements of the government were bieng circulated to hoodwink public opinion in the country. Fact of the matter was that the people of jammu and kashmir were passing through a traumatic phase of socio- economic situation where it has become very difficult to feed a family and fullfill its daily needs including education to the children.He said purchasing power of common people has rached to the brink of big crash and future of youth seems to be as bleak and dark as never before. The dragon of unemployment has raised its ugly head to an alarming level where thousands of hapless educated unemployment youth very easily falling prey to drug abuse and suicidal fits, Hakeem Yaseen observed while asking leadership all variuos political parties to rise above thier indivisual political affliations and convictons to bring a better change in the socio political landscape of jammu and kashmir. He said need of the hour was to held assembly elections in jammu and kashmir as early as possible so that people could be able to seek redressal of thier grievances through thier own elected public representatives .
