Govt Deploys Two Senior Officers For Covid19 Duty in J&K

Srinagar 6 May (KNB): Government of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday said that two senior officers, Shahid Iqbal Choudhary and Zubair Ahmad, have been deployed for the Covid19 duty in two separate divisions of UT’s Jammu and Kashmir. 

The order copy lying with News Agency Kashmir News Bureau read that in view of the emerging situation due to outbreak of Corona Virus (COVID-19), the following senior officers are hereby deployed with the Health and Medical Education Department for performing COVID containment related work, assigned to them by the Financial Commissioner, Health and Medical Education Department. 

Among the two officers, Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, IAS, Administrative Secretary, Tribal Affairs Department has been placed at Jammu to oversee all COVID containment related work there and Zubair Ahmad, KAS, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs has been placed at Srinagar to oversee all COVID containment related work at Kashmir, as per order.

It further said that the above officers shall perform their normal functions, in addition to the COVID duties assigned to them, under the overall supervision of Financial Commissioner, Health and Medical Education Department, with primacy given to COVID containment related work. 

The decision has been taken by order of the Lieutenant Governor. (KNB)
