Srinagar 07 September (KNB): Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President Mehbooba Mufti on Tuesday took a dig at the government of India for expressing concern over Afghan people’s rights but denying the same to Kashmir people as she was house arrested.

The PDP chief said in a tweet that “I have been placed under house arrest today because according to admin the situation is far from normal in Kashmir.”

Following the arrest, Mehbooba said also that GOI expresses concern for the rights of Afghan people but willfully denies the same to Kashmiri.

As Mufti was denied to step outside of her home, the security had justified the move by saying that the situation is not normal, after which the PDP chief further added in the tweet that “this exposes their fake claims of normalcy.”

It is pertinent to mention that the PDP patron had last day in Srinagar while interacting with media persons said that SAS Geelani’s last rites should have been allowed as per his family members’ wishes. (KNB)
