Former Bureaucrat Gazanfar Ali’s Family Expresses Gratitude to SMHS Medical Team, Well-Wishers for Support During Recovery

Family of Gazanfar Ali, former senior bureaucrat, have expressed their heartfelt gratitude to all the doctors, nurses, technical staff, nursing orderlies and other healthcare personnel at SMHS Hospital, particularly Head of Department Anesthesia Dr (Prof) Hina Bashir for admitting the patient to Surgical ICU. They thanked all the doctors posted in Medical and Surgical Intensive Care Unit as well the Department of Anesthesia, Department of Medicine, Department of Cardiology, Department of Radiology, Department of Gastroenterology and Department of Blood Bank and Transfusion GMC Srinagar for their dedication, professionalism and compassionate care, which was instrumental in his treatment and partial recovery.

The family members have appreciated each and every member of the medical team especially Dr (Prof) Omar Farooq, Dr Sobia Nisar, Dr Arshi Taj, Dr Rayees Najib, Dr Rozina, Dr Mehwish, Dr Najma, Dr Mir Najeeb from Blood Bank, Dr Huda, Dr Sagar, Dr Usman Khan and Dr Benazir Bashir, along with all their doctors and healthcare professionals, for their unwavering commitment, care and support. They have expressed their sincere thanks to Dr Andaleeb Bashir, Medical Superintendent, SMHS Hospital, and her entire hospital administration team for their support throughout this difficult period.

They also expressed gratitude to all relatives, friends, colleagues and neighbours who stood by them during this crisis, especially those who provided round-the-clock assistance and care. They also thanked the media and well wishers who prayed for his speedy recovery and extended moral support to the family.

Special thanks were extended to HPVT Trust and officers and dignitaries who enquired about Gazanfar Ali’s health and offered support, including Sheikh Khursheed Ahmed, MLA Langate, Alok Kumar (IRS), Chief Income Tax Commissioner, Mumbai and Dr A. G. Ahangar, Former Director SKIMS.
Gazanfar has since been discharged from the hospital but is still recovering at his residence. However, on medical advice, he has been advised complete bed-rest and refrained from public interaction, until he fully recovers. The family has requested everyone to continue praying for his complete and speedy recovery.
