Srinagar 13 September (KNB):The Government of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday ordered for the reconstitution of a selection committee for making promotions of the faculty members of SKIMS, Medical College/Hospital, Bemina, Srinagar.
An order copy lying with Kashmir News Bureau reads that, “In supersession of all the previous orders on the subject, sanction is hereby accorded to the reconstitution of the Selection Committee with the following composition, for making promotions of the faculty members of SKIMS, Medical College/Hospital, Bemina, Srinagar against clear vacancies and under Assessment Merit Promotion Scheme (AMPS)”
It further said that the selection committee would be headed by Chief Secretary as its chairman and would have six members which includes Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department; Additional Chief Secretary, Health & Medical Education Department; Prof. M.S. Khuroo, Former Director & Dean, SKIMS, Soura; Dean Medical Faculty, SKIMS, Soura; Principal, Government Medical College, Srinagar and Principal, SKIMS Medical College/Hospital, Bemina, Srinagar (Member-Secretary).
