Srinagar 18 February (KNB): In the wee hours of the morning, several army barracks gutted in the fire which took place at Toto ground in Batamaloo area of Srinagar.
Fire station official said to the Kashmir News Bureau that the fire broke out at around 3:39 am in the morning today which engulfed about 6 to 7 army barracks at the Toto ground.
He said all the barracks were made of wood and the fire had spread across it easily.”To control the fire, almost 8 to 9 fire tenders had gone to the spot of the incident,” he said.
He further added that all the fire tenders are still at the spot as of now.
While taking to SHO, Manzoor Ahmad, he confirmed that fire had taken place at the Toto Ground in the early morning, during which several army barracks had been damaged. However, further details regarding the incident are still awaited, he added. (KNB)
