Baramulla 24 December (KNB):The encounter started between the security forces and the militants in the Wanigam Payeen Kreeri area of Baramulla in the early morning following the cordon and search operation launched by the forces.
As per the officials, the forces had launched search operations after the specific information about militants’ presence in the Wanigam Payeen Kreeri. The operation later took the shape of an encounter when the militants fired upon the security forces.
However, the encounter is going on, and further details are yet to come.(KNB)
