Awantipora 24 December (KNB): The four Al- Badr associates were apprehended with arms and ammunitions during search operation carried by 42RR and 130 BN CRPF in the villages of Dadsara and Larmoh during the intervening night of 23 and 24 December after the information regarding the presence of militants of Al-Badr outfit.
As per the statement issued to the Kashmir News Bureau, during the search operation four persons were found in highly suspicious circumstances and during on spot questioning they admitted to have concealed the arms and ammunition under the heap of grass.
All the four persons were later identified as the Al-Badr associates — Yawar Aziz Dar S/O Abdul Aziz Dar R/O Larmoh, Sajad Ahmad Parray S/O Abdul Rehman Parray R/O Larmoh, Abid Majeed Sheikh S/O Abdul Majeed Sheikh R/O Dadsara, Showkat Ahmad Dar S/O Gulzar Ahmad Dar R/O Dadsara, reads the statement.
According to the statement, Rifle AK 56 (1 number), Magazine AK 56 (1 number), AK 56 Rounds ( 28 number) and Hand Grenade (1 number) were recovered during the operation.
Pertinently, the FIR number 195/2020 under relevant sections of law was registered at police station Awantipora and the investigation of the case is going on and more arrests are expected in the case, statement read. (KNB)
