Srinagar 11 October (KNB): An encounter has started between security forces and militants in the South Kashmir Shopian’s Tulran, Imamsahab area on Monday evening.
As per an officer, the encounter started after a cordon and search operation was launched in the suspected area after having inputs about the presence of militants.
The encounter is said to be going in the area and comes after the two encounters, which were fought betwen foces and militants in Bandipora and Anantnag areas. During the encounters, two militants were killed by forces.
However, early in the day, another encounter started in the Surankote area of Jammu’s Poonch district in which five army personnel were killed including a Junior Commissioned Officer. (KNB)
