Srinagar 17 November (KNB): An encounter started between government forces and militants in South Kashmir Kulgam’s Pombay area on Wednesday afternoon, said police.
The encounter started after a cordon and search operation was carried out by a joint team of government forces following inputs about the presence of militants there.
However, there are no reports of any casualty inflicted on either side engaged in the gunfight.
Police in this regard said that “Encounter has started at Pombay area of Kulgam. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow.” (KNB)
