Srinagar 19 August (KNB): An encounter started between militants and security forces on Thursday in Thanamandi area of Jammu’s Rajouri, as per an official.
The encounter started between the forces and militants in the morning after a cordon and search operation was launched by a joint team of security forces in the Thanamandi area of Rajouri.
According to the official, as the forces were heading towards the suspected area, the holed up militants fired upon the searching parties, which resulted in the gunfight between the two sides.
However, it was further said after an hour of the operation that two Army personnel have been injured in the encounter.
Till last reports, there was no casualty reported from the trapped militants’ end. (KNB)
