Srinagar 26 January (KNB): An encounter started on Wednesday evening between security forces and militants in south Kashmir Shopian’s Check Nowgam area, said police.
The encounter started after a cordon and search operation was carried out by a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF in the area following inputs about the presence of militants there.
Till last update there were no reports of any casualty inflicted on either side engaged in the gunfight. (KNB)
