Anantnag 10 March (KNB): An encounter raged between militants and security forces in Bijbehara area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Officials said a joint team of Police, Army’s 3RR and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Kandipora, Bijbehara area.
Upon reaching the suspected spot, militants opened fire upon the security forces which was retaliated with the same response, triggering off the gun-battle, officials added.
They said that teams of security forces are on the job and further details about the encounter shall be revealed accordingly. (KNB)
