Srinagar 14 Sep(KNB): Encounter broke out between militants and security forces in Nowgam area of central Kashmir’s Srinagar district.
According to reports reaching to news agency Kashmir News Bureau-KNB that on a specific input about the presence of militants in Nowgam area, security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the area, the hiding fired upon the search team, which was retaliated by the government forces, triggering an encounter.
On a specific input generated by Police, an #encounter has started in Nowgam area of #Srinagar District. Srinagar Police and 50RR are on the job. Further details shall follow, said Police in a tweet. (KNB)
