Srinagar 10 July (KNB): An encounter started in the Kawarigam area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag on Saturday afternoon between security forces and militants, said an official.
As per the official, the search and cordon operation was carried out by a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF after the inputs about the presence of the militants in the area.
Later, the searches took shape of the encounter, when militants presence was confirmed, resounding the area with fires.
However, police in this regard said that “Encounter has started at Kawarigam, Ranipora area of Anantnag. Police and security forces are on the job.”
