Srinagar, Feb 18(KNB):A delegation of doctors (recently selected medical officers) and their anxious parents today visited the press colony and appealed to governer and divisional comissioner that due to tensed situation that is prevailing in the region, extension should be of granted to their date of joining at their respective places of posting as most of them are posted in Jammu division and are worried about their life and posting.
Doctors state that due to current hostile and fearful environment it is not possible for them to join especially in different areas of Jammu region like Kathua, Jammu city, Udhampur, Doda, Poonch.
While talking to Kashmir News Bureau, Dr. Riyaz said, ” Many students of the valley have been posted to different places of Jammu, earlier our last date of joining was extended up to 13th but unfortunately from few days due to holiginism and riots, curfew has been imposed there,”
He further said,”We all know how hostile and fearful the condition is due to prevailing situation in Jammu region, those already posted there are not able to move, we demand a genuine extension in our date of joining as currently it is out of logic to join at these places.” (KNB)
