Amid choas J&K bank ATMs run out of cash in Jammu

Srinagar, Feb 18(KNB):The stranded Kashmiris are facing a tough time as majority of the Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) are running out of cash in Muslim majority areas of Jammu especially the areas of Bathandi Gujar Nagar.

The stranded people while talking with KNB on phone said, “We do not know what or where the problem is but we are facing difficulty as the ATM , are not dispensing cash. We have visited various ATMs since morning, but it is the situation every where we have become cashless, we need to go back to Kashmir as here from past two days situation is not favourable”

They appealed the Chairman of J&K bank to look at the matter and ensure the availibility of cash in ATMs so that they can reach home safely.

Earlier, 49 soldiers were killed in Pulwama in IED blast by suspected militants resulting in spontaneous protests in Jammu in which hundreds of vehicles were set ablaze and stones were thrown at most of the dwellings of Kashmiris, Besides the spree of hatred against the Kashmiri’s.(KNB)
