Srinagar 15 September 2021: Gazanfar Ali, Director Youth Services & Sports J&K, chaired a one-day awareness programme on ‘Covid Appropriate Behavior (CAB), Sports & Mental Health during COVID-19 at youth hostel Srinagar today.
A handout issued here said that the programme was organized by the Directorate of Youth Services & Sports J&K in collaboration with ELFA International (NGO) working in the field of youth empowerment, and awareness of many other vertices.
The awareness programme was attended by a large number of students, officials & officers of the Youth Services & Sports department.
It further said that the representatives from ELFA international gave a detailed presentation on COVID-19 and Covid Appropriate Behavior (CAB). “Post presentation, discussions were held regarding sports and Mental health amid Covid pandemic,” reads the statement.
However, speaking at the function, Gazanfar Ali highlighted the need for such awareness programmes in order to mitigate the associated risks and to prepare students and youth for future challenges.
He also congratulated the entire crew of ELFA international for their work and dedication in spreading knowledge and also skills amongst the young generation. (KNB)
