Budgam 28 August (KNB): Director Department of Youth Services and Sports J&K, Gazanfar Ali on Saturday inaugurated Inter Zonal District Level Competitions of Volleyball for U/14 & U/17 Boys at Sports Stadia.
As per a statement issued to news agency Kashmir News Bureau, 12 teams from each age group category are taking part in the mega tournament which will conclude on 31st of the current month.
While interacting with the young student players, Director YSS congratulated them for taking active part in games and sports and expressed his gratitude to the parents of all such students who encourage and support their children for taking part in such fruitful activities.
Later in his speech Gazanfar Ali impressed upon the field staff of YSS Budgam to go deep down into the grass-root level in finding the best sports talent.
He also stressed upon encouraging every student as well as non-students for taking active part in at-least one sport of his/her choice.
Joint Director (Kashmir) Bashir Ahmed, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Budgam Masrat Jan and other senior officials of the Department were also present on the inaugural ceremony of the Tournament. (KNB)
