Cyber Police Kashmir Arrests Offender for Spreading Content Hurting Religious Sentiments, Issue Warning to Social Media Users

Srinagar, 14 April (KNB):The Cyber Police in Kashmir have taken proactive measures against objectionable online content, swiftly arresting an individual for allegedly hurting religious sentiments. The accused, whose identity remains undisclosed faces legal repercussions for their actions.

According to a statement released by the Cyber Police Kashmir, the arrest came in response to the dissemination of material deemed offensive to religious sentiments on social media platforms. The police have initiated legal proceedings against the individual.

The Cyber Police issued a stern warning to social media users, urging them to exercise restraint and refrain from sharing any content that could potentially offend religious sentiments. They emphasized that spreading such material will not be tolerated and will be met with legal action.


In a post on X (formerlyTwitte), The Cyber Police Kashmir’s states, “Police swiftly responded to objectionable content online, arresting the accused for hurting religious sentiments. Legal action has been initiated. We urge social media users to refrain from sharing such material. Spreading content that offends religious sentiments will result in legal action.”-KNB
