Srinagar 05 July (KNB): India has reported 39,796 new cases of Covid19 and 723 fatalities during the last 24 hours, as per Union Health Ministry.
As per the ministry, a total of 2,97,00,430 covid patients have recovered so far in the country and 42,352 patients have been recovered in the last 24 hours across India.
“The active caseload of the country has declined to 4,82,071 and Recovery Rate has increased to 97.11 percent,” said the Health Ministry.
It further said that the daily recoveries continue to outnumber the daily new cases for the 53rd consecutive day,” it added that the daily positivity rate at 2.61 percent, which is less than 5 percent for 28 consecutive days.
The ministry further said 35.28 Cr. vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive and testing capacity substantially ramped up with 41.97 Cr. tests total conducted.
It added that more than 36.97 crore vaccine doses have been provided to States/UTs so far, through all sources. “Of this, the total consumption including wastages is 34,95,74,408 doses,” the Ministry said, as per data available at 8 AM today.
However, there are more than 2.01 Cr balance and unutilized COVID Vaccine doses still available with the States/UTs and private hospitals to be administered, as per data. (KNB)
