Kulgam 12 Jan(KNB): One policemen and unidentified militant was killed in an encounter in south Kashmir’s Kulgam, the police said on Wednesday.
A police official told news gathering agency KNB that, the militant was killed in an encounter while one cop was also killed and other three soldiers were injured in Pariwan area of Kulgam district.
“One police personnel SgCt Rohit Chhib killed, 03 Army soldiers got injured. 02 civilians also got minor injuries. 01 millitant of JeM killed. Operation on: IGP Kashmir,” Tweets Kashmir Police Zone.
The operation is carried out jointly by the police, the Army and the CRPF following a tip-off about the presence of militants in the area. (KNB)
