Srinagar Aug,16(KNB): The Congress party high authorities decision to appoint Vikar Rasool as head of Jammu and Kashmir UT has turned aggressive and a rebellion occured within the Pradesh Congress Committee with the resignation of their senior leaders from the committee and the basic membership of party.

Talking to Kashmir News Bureau MLA Sopore Ab Rashid Dar who represented Sopore twice in Assembly,said that he has resigned from the basic membership of the party of Vikar Rasool’s appointment as PCC head.

He further added, “He can not accept Vikar as his head as he was junior to him.”
He said I am a 40-year old Congress member, this is unacceptable and a fun of my tenure.

Meanwhile in its another setback, the Senior congress leader and former MLA Devsar Mohd Amin Bhat resigns from the newly formed coordination committee, which is practically a big blow to the suppressed and underground roots of the Congress party.

It’s pertinent to mention that Ghulam Nabi Azad,the former Chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir, the parliamentary member and a pivotal role player in Congress party was given the Post of chairman but unfortunate to the party he also resigned from newly constituted JKPCC campaign committee which is gigantic and costly a death knell to the core of congress.

Senior Congress leader and ex MLA shangus Gulzar wani also resigns from the newly constituted Pradesh Election committee of Indian national congress for Jammu and Kashmir.

Meanwhile Ghulam Ahmad Mir considered it a welcoming step and initiative taken by Smt Sonia Gandhi (President) INC regarding JK congress.
He also congratulated to the newly formed team for Jammu and Kashmir (KNB)
