Choas and panic grips valley , amid speculation of scraping of special status

Srinagar, Feb 23(KNB): Spontaneous shutdown across the valley observed at several places due to the speculation and apprehensions amoung the common masses of the valley regarding the scrapping of the Article 35 A and 370 a special status to state of Jammu and Kashmir.




The reports are coming from the different parts of the valley to Kashmir News Bureau about the chaos and shutdown .

As reported by the correspondent from the south kashmir  “ overall the situation is under control in major parts of the south Kashmir, however clashes erupted in the anantnang district at various places resulting in spontaneous shutdown”

According to the north Kashmir correspondent “the minimal vehicular movement is seen in the most parts of the North Kashmir since morning there is a hartal like situation in Kupwara and hardwara”

He further added that the shops and business establishments were shut in bandiora and some parts of sopore against the killings of the two militants in an encounter at Sopore.

Meanwhile police advised the people not to panic because of the reports  of the deployment of additional forces in the valley and rumours of abrogation of special status.(KNB)
