Burglars Loot 50000 Cash, Jewellery From House in Arampora Sopore

Srinagar 17 September (KNB): Burglars looted a house in Gul Abad area of Arampora in north Kashmir’s Sopore and took off with 50,000 cases and some Jewellery.

As per news agency Kashmir News Bureau, a burglary took place during the intervening night of Thursday and Friday in the house of Arshid Malik, who had taken off to a wedding ceremony along with his family members.

“My family were already at a wedding ceremony in Iqbal Nagar and it was around 9 pm, when I took off from my house to attend the same,” Arshid said and added, “I had plans to return for the night but that couldn’t happen.”

Arshid returned home on Friday morning only to see that burglars had broke into his house and stolen 50,000 cash, Two gold rings and two earrings.

“I saw a window was broken and the main door was also open. Every nook and corner of the house had been checked and things were scattered around,” he said, adding that a cash amount of 50,000, Two gold rings and two gold ear-rings was stolen from the house.

“I found everything else, such as TV, Laptops, utensils and other things were still there except the cash, I had brought from my shop and my wife’s jewellery,” he said, adding, “It is most likely that someone from the locality has committed this crime, probably some drug addicts.”

Moreover, Arshid found three partially empty bottles of soft drinks in one of the rooms of the house, which indicates that atleast three people were involved in the burglary. He has already filed a report regarding the same, at the concerned police station. (KNB)
