Jammu, Feb 12 (KNB): Pandemonium broke out in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly on Monday again over pro-Pakistan slogans raised by National Conference legislator from Sonawari and former Speaker Muhammad Akbar Lone in the House on Saturday.
The Bharatiya Janta Party demanded initiation of criminal proceedings against the legislator. The member has made mockery of the House. You should initiate criminal proceedings against him,” demanded BJP legislator R S Pathania.
Pertinently, continuing his thunderbolt language inside the state assembly, the outspoken Lone on Saturday surprised the nation by raising “Pakistan Zindabad” slogans, in response to the “Pakistan Murdabad” slogans by ruling party BJP members.
“I am a Muslim first. My sentiments were hurt when they (BJP MLAs) were shouting “Pakistan Murdabad” slogans. I couldn’t control my emotions and raised Pakistan Zindabad slogans,” Lone had told the reporters. (KNB)
