Bear Attack Leaves Three People Injured in Handwara

Kupwara 28 (KNB): In a bear attack in Handwara town of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Saturday, three people including two women sustained injuries.

As per news agency Kashmir News Bureau sources, the three members of the family from Ananwan Kralgund area of the Handwara Town, were attacked by a wild bear while they were busy working in their kitchen garden.

As per the locals of the area, the bear attack took place in a flash and amid the attack they pelted stones towards the wild animal and chased him away.

The three family members, identified as Saja Begum wife of Ghulam Ahmed Rather, Ashia Begum wife of Abdul Hamid Rather and Bashir Ahmed Dar, sustained injuries in the attack and were rushed to a community health centre of the area for treatment. (KNB)
