‘Avoid use of Heating Gadgets at Sehri, Iftiyaar Times’ Chief Engineer KPDCL Appeals Consumers

Srinagar 20 April (KNB): Chief Engineer power development department, Aijaz Ah Dar on Tuesday appealed consumers to avoid excessive use of heating gadgets during Sehri and Iftaar time for the purposes of unscheduled power cuts in the month of Ramadan.

Talking to news agency Kashmir News Bureau (KNB) Aijaz said that, “As temperature is again expected to drop in next two days, the load in the system will increase and to avoid the unscheduled cuts at sehri and iftiyar times, people are requested to circumvent use of heating gadgets .

“Comparing to last year’s load of 1475 mw during Ramadan, this year 1630 is being served so far,” he further said.

He said that extra load on power feeder during peak times is the cause of power breakdown in many areas across Kashmir.(KNB)
