Banihal 27 April (KNB): An army personnel on Tuesday allegedly committed suicide by shooting self in Banihal area of Ramban district.
As per officials, the army personnel, identified as Asangeppa Madar, son of Parasappa, resident of Layadagundi Bagalkot area of Karanataka opened fire at himself with his service rifle at R-Centre Camp Banihal.
Officials said that after the gunshot, other army personnels found Asangeppa in a pool of blood and rushed him to the hospital, where the doctors declared him brought dead.
Moreover, an investigation has been been launched and a case has been registered aswell, officials added. (KNB)
