Anti-Encroachment Teams to take Strict Action in Srinagar from 24th Feb: Junaid Mattu

Srinagar 19 February (KNB): Anti-Encroachment teams will confiscate any merchandise found on footpaths of Srinagar, without any notice, Srinagar Mayor Junaid Azim Mattu.

He said that Anti-Encroachment teams will be deputed through out the City, starting from 24th of this month, to ensure that no merchandise is left out on the footpaths.

“Starting 24th February, any merchandise found on any footpath will be confiscated by SMC Anti-Encroachment teams without any notice,” Mattu said.

Mayor SMC, Junaid Azim Mattu said, “A notice and public announcement to this effect will be issued today.”

He said that this move has been taken to ensure convenience to the pedestrians around Srinagar.

“This is vital to ensure free pedestrian movement around the city,” Junaid Mattu said. (KNB)
