Srinagar 24 August (KNB): Another unidentified militant killed by government security forces in an encounter in Pethseer area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Officials told news agency Kashmir News Bureau that second militant has been killed in the encounter which raged last night in Pethseer area of Sopore. Earlier, one militant was killed by the forces during the gunbattle, taking the toll to two.
Searches are taking place in the area and the encounter site. Moreover, officials said that further details will be shared.
As per KNB reports, the encounter raged during the evening hours, after joint teams of JK police, Army and CRPF carried out a cordon and search operation in the area.
As the forces approached the suspected spot, militants opened fire and the gun-battle ensued. (KNB)
