Srinagar 05 March (KNB): J&K Govt on Friday orders the constituting of apex committee which will monitor and supervise the activities/event to be organised in connection with the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav in the UT.
The order copy said that the sanction is hereby accorded to the constitution of an Apex Level Committee, comprising the following, for monitoring and supervising the activities/events to be organised in connection with the “Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav” celebrations in the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir:
Chief Secretary, J&K appointed as its chairman and Administrative Secretary, Home Department; Administrative Secretary, Housing and Urban Development Department; Administrative Secretary, Information Department; Administrative Secretary. General Administration Department; Administrative Secretary, Youth Service and Sports Department; Additional Director General of Police (Headquarters); Administrative Secretary Department of Rural Development and Raj Panchayat; Divisional Commissioner Jammu/Kashmir; Administrative Secretary, School Education Department; Administrative Secretary Department of Culture; Administrative Secretary Tourism Department; Administrative Secretary, Higher Education Department; Director, Information and Public Relations, J&K; Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages; Director, School Education, Jammu/Kashmir; Director General. Youth Service and Sports Department; Director, Achieves, Archaeology and Museums, J&K and Director Colleges, J&K chosen as its members.
It is pertinent to mention that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to launch Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav on March 12 from Gujrat to celebrate the 75 years of India’s Independence. (KNB)
