Srinagar 16 October (KNB): Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar on Saturday said that 13 militants have been killed in nine encounters in Kashmir following the civilian killings.
IGP was quoted by police saying that in nine encounters, 13 militants have been killed in the wake of civilian killings in Kashmir. It was said by IGP-K after the encounter in Pampore in which LeT commander among two militants were killed by security forces.
The police further said that out of five militants of Srinagar city, three have been killed. During last evening’s two encounters in Pulwama and Bemina, two militants were killed and both were from Srinagar, as per police.
“13 militants killed in 9 encounters after civilian killings. We have neutralised 3 out of 5 militants of Srinagar City within less than 24 hours,” said police in a tweet. (KNB)
