Srinagar 6 January (KNB): Amid the 4th Day of Snowfall in the city, Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) has carried on it’s snow clearance drive with numbers of workers and machinery put to work.
SMC officials stepped out early morning and started clearing snow from the footpaths and the roads of Srinagar city, which had accumulated due to the snowfall over the night.
Similarly, in areas such as HMT and Batamaloo, where there were several medical emergencies, snow clearance drive was initiated as soon as the corporation was notified about it.
Meanwhile, the R&B department has come under criticism for not performing their duty properly as several roads that come under the jurisdiction of the department, still have snow accumulated over it due to which people are facing difficulties in travelling from one place to another. (KNB)
