Srinagar 22 September (KNB): With the threat of another covid wave lingering around, Srinagar district administration and police have rolled up their sleeves to make the district’s people to adhere to Covid Appropriate Behaviour (CAB).
SSP Srinagar Sandeep Chaudhary yesterday convened a meeting of all SHOs of the summer capital of J&K in the wake of an anticipation of third wave of Covid19. The meeting revolved around the subject of making people to not lose sight of following the Covid SOPs.
During the meeting all SHOs of the Srinagar district were directed to ensure the implementation of Covid Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) protocol in Srinagar city, as per tweet from Srinagar Police on Tuesday afternoon.
However, on the other side the Srinagar administration is also being very strict about the implementation of Covid SOPs. From some days, the district administration again seems to be on the ball and are ensuring to avoid any lapse, which could cost dear to the society.
Yesterday, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Syed Haneef Balki along with Tehsildar South visited the city centre Lal Chowk and sealed several shops who were not following the CAB and were seen advising the shopkeepers to provide masks to those shoppers who come for shopping without masks.
Furthermore, DC Srinagar, Aijaz Asad, has already warned the people of strict lockdown to be imposed in those areas who are violating the Covid19 SOPs.
Lieutenant Governor, J&K, Manoj Sinha a couple of days ago also raised apprehensions of all efforts made to be going in vain if people do not follow Covid19 SOPs. He also appealed to people to follow CAB to stem the virus’s spread. (KNB)
