Srinagar, Aug 11 (KNB): A 25-year-old woman died after a vehicle she was travelling in met with an accident in the Kral Sangari area of Nishat in Srinagar during the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday, officials said.
Officials said the accident occurred at around 1:30 am when a vehicle bearing registration number JK01AR-0071 allegedly hit a road divider and overturned.
The woman sustained injuries in the accident and was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead on arrival.
The deceased has been identified as Toboya Auyob, 25, daughter of Mohd Auyob, a resident of Barbar Shah, Srinagar.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated further proceedings in the matter. (KNB)
