Srinagar 18 April (KNB): As voting for the Second phase of Lok Sabha Polls begun today for two seats in Udhampur and Srinagar, a village in central Kashmir’s Budgam witnesses zero percent vote.
According to final polling report, Razwan village in Budgam district witnessed zero percent and complete boycott.
According to officials, 1432 votes were no vote as casted in the area , the deserted look of the polling was due to the haunting memories of 2017 elections in which many civilians got killed in budgam district.
Meanwhile, the area of waterwani witnessed a brisk voting according to the officials 552 voters casted their vote out of 937 voters in the waterwani area out of which 272 were female , which indicates the positive change in participation of the female voters in elections.
Pertinently, National conference president Dr Farooq Abdullah , Agha Mohsin of Peoples Democratic party(PDP), Irfan Ansari of Peoples Conference , Khalid Jehangir of BJP and other candidates are in fray.
Meanwhile, a complete shutdown is being observed in parts of Kashmir on Hurriyat call (KNB)
