YSS Organizes Training Programme for Trainers at Ganderbal

Technology is revolutionizing sports training and YSS is committed to keep it’s employees aburst with such latest developments’: Gazanfar Ali

Ganderbal Jan 27(KNB): To keep employees of the Department Of Youth Services & Sports aburst with latest technology and to inculcate much required communication skills among the trainers, the Department of Youth Services and Sports inaugurated a training programme at Boys Higher Secondary School here.

While throwing light on the importance of such training programmes for the employees of the Department especially for those trainers who impart knowledge and training of different games and sports at gross root level, the Director of the Department of Youth Services & Sports J&K, Gazanfar Ali stated’ “The use of technology in sports is growing rapidly. In football, for instance, new devices are used for different reasons such as to help referees in decision-making and to quantify the athletes’ performance during a game, thus helping the coach to set the training program and the game strategy”.
He further said, “Advanced technology has become smaller, more resilient, and less burdensome over recent years, paving the way for new opportunities, especially in athletics. Technology is revolutionizing sports training and the Department is committed to keep it’s employees aburst with such latest developments”.

In a recent tweet Gazanfar Ali has stated, “In order to invest time during Covid-19 restrictions, Deptt.of YSS prepared training module for its staff to keep them abreast wd latest techniques,especially in below games: Pencaksilat, Sqay, Taekwando, Tennikoit,Fencing & Archery.”
Pertinently the training programme was organized for the field Staff of the District, keeping all covid-19 related SOPs under consideration.
The short Duration Workshop of Departmental Officials focused on digital technology, coaching cum learning & development of communication skills.
The training was imparted most professionally and effectively by Physical Education Teacher Mohammed Rafiq who was assisted by Parvaiz Ahmad.
The course was bifurcated in two batches, (Batch-I & Batch-II) in which almost 50 Departmental Officials participated.
The course/training will be of total Five Batches. The remaining sessions of the course are being conducted on 31st of the current month at the same Venue.
All arrangements for the smooth conduct of the training/course were arranged in advance by the Activity Section of District Youth Services and Sports Office (DYSSO) Ganderbal.(KNB)
